The National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) system is a nation-wide system that facilitates individuals, firms and corporate to transfer funds electronically from any bank branch to any individual, firm or corporate having an account with any other bank branch across the country.
There is no limit -either minimum or maximum- on the amount of funds that could be transferred by using NEFT. In case of cash, customer/non customer can send and NEFT outward transactions up to Rs.50, 000/-
This is a simple, secure, safe, fastest and cost effective way to transfer . NEFT service is facilitated by Reserve Bank of India.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Customers can remit any amount using NEFT. Customer intending to remit money through NEFT has to furnish the following particulars in the prescribed form.
- IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) of the beneficiary Bank/Branch
- Full account number of the beneficiary
- Name of the beneficiary.
Customers can use this facility at business hours of branches. There are twelve hourly settlements between 8 AM and 7 PM on all weekdays and six hourly settlements between 8 AM and 1 PM on Saturdays.
The money will be credited to the beneficiary’s account on the same day or at the most next day in case the message is sent during the last batch of settlement. Bank offers NEFT facility to its customers through all its branches as a sub member of Union Bank of India.
Rs. 3/- per transaction if the transaction amount is less than Rs. 10,000/-
Rs. 6/ per transaction if the transaction amount is above Rs.10,000/- & less than Rs. 1 lakh
Rs. 17/- per transaction if the transaction amount is above Rs.1 lakh & less than Rs. 2 lakh
Rs. 29/ per transaction if the transaction amount is above Rs. 2 lakh
